Multi Hand Poker
Description: Multi hand poker is popular as a form of video poker. Multi hand video poker is popular because of the extra cards involved in the game.
Multi hand poker is a popular form of video poker. It is played just like conventional poker, except that you can play up to 100 hands at once.
To select how many hands you want to play, you just choose from one of the numbers at the bottom of the screen. Typically, you have a choice of 1, 5, 10, 25, 50 or 100 hands.
Once you have decided how many hands you would like to play at once, you can place a bet. Most multi hand poker machines will allow a wide range of bets – from pennies to a dollar or more at a time. The machine will deal you a hand, and you will be presented with five cards. Each hand you are playing will contain the same five cards.
Multi hand poker plays just like normal video poker in many respects, so next you will choose the cards that you want to keep. The cards that you keep will be kept for all of the hands you are playing. Next, you draw new cards by clicking “Deal” again. For subsequent deals, a random set of replacement cards will be drawn for each hand you are playing.
Multi hand poker can be confusing when you are playing a large number of hands. When there are 100 hands on the screen at once it is incredibly hard for even someone with near perfect eyesight to be able to keep track of the changes to all 100 hands.
The good news is that you don’t really need to. The computer will highlight all of your winning hands, so you can see how many credits you have accumulated.
Although it may not feel like it when you are playing the game, the odds for multi hand poker are the same as the odds for normal poker. Playing each hand 100 times in amplifies the perceived strength or weakness of the hand, but the probabilities themselves do not change.
